From Domination to Co-Creation

There are many ways to attempt to describe the shift we are passing through as a race during the years. Some people think of this as the “end of days”. They think of it only in terms of destruction and chaos. Other people see it as a time of collective awakening. For many they recognize we are witnessing the reemergence of the goddess, the shift from thousands of years of domination of the masculine psyche into a more natural balance of masculine and feminine.

Another very powerful and valid way of seeing what is happening to us in this time of transition is that we are moving from the dominator model to the co-creative model. The dominator model is characterized by hierarchical and often patriarchal organizations. Many large corporations have operated in his way, as well as most of the worlds religions and governments. We are just beginning to see what is possible through co-creation. The image of the pyramid with the leader at the top, the subordinates just underneath, and the factory worker at the bottom is being replaced by the circle of mutual respect. Every part of the organism is respected as equally important.

Barbara Marx Hubbard is widely respected as the the greatest expert alive today on the subject of co-creation,. Her 2001 book, The Co-creator’s Handbook, is considered to be a Bible on the subject. It is a great honor for us to be able to offer this seminar with Arjuna Ardagh and Barbara Marx Hubbard in dialog together.

Barbara Marx Hubbard is an author, public speaker, social innovator, and president of the Foundation for Conscious Evolution. She is a founder and member of the Santa Barbara Conscious Evolution Community. A graduate of Bryn Mawr College with a B.A. cum laude in Political Science, Dr. Hubbard studied at La Sorbonne and L'Ecole des Sciences Politiques in Paris. She was awarded the first Doctorate in Conscious Evolution by Emerson Institute. Arjuna Ardagh is an Awakening Coach and trains other to become Awakening Coaches also. Together they live in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California, along with their two teenage sons.
